On June 1, Kyungbok University actively participated in the '2026 Global Talent Fair for International Students,' the largest job fair of its kind in South Korea.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from around 20 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) international students from Kyungbok University, all driven by a strong passion for starting their careers in Korea. The students engaged in a variety of meaningful activities, including recruitment interviews and corporate briefing sessions with major domestic companies, alongside career lectures and legal visa consultations.
Celebrating its 18th anniversary this year, the 'Global Talent Fair for International Students' stands as the nation's premier recruitment platform dedicated to foreign students seeking local employment. This year's fair featured approximately 100 prominent domestic enterprises conducting face-to-face job interviews and company-specific info sessions to scout top-tier global talent.
Kyungbok University students took a highly proactive approach to the job market by pre-applying for interviews and undergoing rigorous on-site screenings. Recognizing that the South Korean corporate hiring culture can be unfamiliar to foreign expats, the university ensured students maximized their experience by participating in diverse, practical sessions, including: special industry-specific employment lectures, 1-on-1 personalized career consulting, residential visa and immigration counseling and comprehensive introductions to government-sponsored employment tracks
An official from the Kyungbok University Office of International Affairs emphasized:
"We hope this fair provided a valuable, hands-on opportunity for our GKS international students to break through barriers into domestic companies and gain practical job readiness."
"Kyungbok University remains fully committed to expanding multi-faceted career support initiatives, ensuring that talented minds from all corners of the world can seamlessly integrate into Korean society and thrive as elite global professionals."
